My Journey
Each of us incorporates a wide variety of experiences, talents, and hobbies. We have interests and desires that make us unique, whether they be for people, places, ideas, or things. We learn and grow from our lived experiences. What I teach and how I teach will become part of my students' lived experiences. I want my contribution to education to be useful and inspirational. My love of running, horses, and art led to my passion for teaching. Teaching is for me, a second chance at childhood.

Running and Coaching
I love to run. I started when I was quite young. My gym teacher noticed that I would beat the boys in races around the school. While I thought I was just being cheeky, my gym teacher saw talent. He registered me for the Junior Olympics. Wearing my pink Payless shoes, I earned a gold in the Junior Olympics Regional Championship. After that, I competed in the National Junior Olympics. Throughout those years, I continued to compete in both, track and cross-country. My love for running turned into coaching cross-country and track. Track and field youth Olympiad prepared me to coach in schools by giving me a sense of always doing one’s best as an individual, a school team and a community member.
The Artist in Me
Art was and still is a big part of my life. I started to draw when I was quite young.
